VENCLEXTA and rituximab work in two different ways to treat relapsed/refractory CLL/SLL

  • VENCLEXTA is a medicine taken orally (by mouth) that works differently than other treatments

VENCLEXTA targets a specific protein in your body called BCL-2

  • When normal cells are damaged or old, your body tells them to self-destruct. This process is called apoptosis (ay-pop-toh-sis)

Rituximab targets a protein called a CD20 antigen

BCL-2=B-cell lymphoma 2; CLL=chronic lymphocytic leukemia; SLL=small lymphocytic lymphoma
